Description

- The Korean small and medium-sized company manufactures lightweight safety arms used in collaborative robots and components and modules to drive them. In addition, the single servo driver and module of the joint part for the collaborative robot have been developed.


KUKA, a part for collaborative robots, is a High Power Actuator with a 60W to 450W output. The maximum torque is also 38/100/176 Nm. The weight of the part is 1.1 to 3.04 kg. The 7-shafted arm costs about $100,000.


Another collaborative robot component, the SCHUNK PRL series, comes in four types. The output is 40/80/130/250W. The maximum torque is 9.6/41.4/176 Nm and weighs 1.0–3.6 kg. Prices range from $5,000 to $8000.

This company's product development plan is the high power density of the module type-actuator for the implementation of lightweight Arms. Low cost is realized through localization of internal components for commercialization of industrial collaboration robots.
