LED electronic boards with three-dimensional LED package technology received excellent products from the Republic of Korea Public Procurement Service in 2023, New Excellent Product (NEP) certification from the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Korea, and won the Korea Invention Patent Competition statue in 2023.

The three-dimensional LED package technology has been registered in Korea, China, and the United States, and has also applied for a patent in Europe in 2022.

As the viewer is under the electronic display, the angle of view is around 14-34°, and the luminance increase ratio by direction angle increases by 42% on average compared to the existing LED of development, enabling more distinct information to be delivered to the viewer.

Description

The LED package has the greatest impact on the product's performance and energy consumption on LED electronic boards. The existing SMD LED package used in the electronic board has a flat structure, so when light is emitted from the LED package, it emits light at the same angle as up, down, left, and right, and most of the light emitted upward is unnecessary for users looking at the electronic board from below.

In other words, they developed a three-dimensional LED package that combines a reflector with a flat-structure LED package to reflect light emitted upward from the previously used flat-structure LED package, noting that light emitted upward is unnecessary for users. The angle emitted from the left and right is the same as that of the flat-structure LED package, and the angle emitted upward is 20 degrees (60% reduced), and the angle emitted upward is 70 degrees (15% magnification), so that power consumption can be reduced by 20-50% by increasing the luminance of the front and bottom.

Existing LED billboards are wasting electric energy due to light pollution problems and increased power consumption due to the light emitted upward, but energy saving and carbon neutrality policies due to climate warming are being promoted around the world, and replacing them with LED billboards with their technology can contribute to climate warming and carbon neutrality policies.
